AGM 2020 MEMBER UPDATE
Westport Credit Union has reluctantly taken the decision to defer its AGM until the New Year with a date to be confirmed.
This decision was made in light of COVID-19 and in adherence to public health guidelines in place at this time.
The Government has recently passed legislation to enable Credit Unions to host virtual AGMs and to provide for different options around voting in the absence of a physical meeting. This legislation also permits the delay of hosting AGM’s relating to financial year-end September 2020 until the end of April 2021.
Depending on the public health guidelines at the time, the AGM will be held in person if it is safe to do so, otherwise, it may the virtual option. Once a date and format has been decided, members will be informed.
