Role: Cashier – Full time
Westport Credit Union is a large Credit Union with assets of over €107m and a membership of over 14,000. We now have an opportunity for a Cashier to join our team.
The successful candidate will be required to provide professional, friendly & efficient front-line services to members through a variety of channels. You will report to the Member Services Manager and be responsible for carrying out a range of administrative & operational activities that contribute to delivering first class member service and to the effective running of the Credit Union.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide service to the members with all aspects of the Credit union business, i.e., lodgements, withdrawals, loan issue, account openings, foreign exchange
- Explain products and services to members
- Accurately and diligently handle cash, reconciling daily balances
- General office administration
The ideal candidate should have:
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Financial qualification or an interest in pursuing such a qualification
- Team player with strong organisational skills
- Previous experience working in a frontline role in a credit union or similar financial institution would be desirable.
